Song for the Waiting
There is a song in the night
Like bells on a hill still ringing
You are the song in the night
I cannot keep from singing
For the longing, for the aching
For the looking, anticipating
For the healing, for the breaking
This is a song for the waiting
For the lonely, for the stranded
Restless, ruined, and empty handed
In every season and every station
We live in hopeful desperation
What a blessedness, what a joy divine
I'll sing Your story and You'll sing mine
Through the sands of time under ancient stars
We are leaning on the everlasting arms
You are my song in the night
Like bells on a hill still ringing
You are the song in the night
I cannot keep from singing
Like bells on a hill still ringing
You are the song in the night
I cannot keep from singing

+ Open the Eyes of My Heart
Open the eyes of my heart, Lord
Open the eyes of my heart
I want to see You
I want to see You
To see You high and lifted up
Shining in the light of Your glory
Pour out Your power and love
As we sing holy, holy, holy
Holy, holy, holy
Holy, holy, holy
Holy, holy, holy
I want to see You
Open the eyes of my heart
I want to see You
I want to see You
To see You high and lifted up
Shining in the light of Your glory
Pour out Your power and love
As we sing holy, holy, holy
Holy, holy, holy
Holy, holy, holy
Holy, holy, holy
I want to see You
Collect
Keep, O Lord, your household the Church in your steadfast faith and love, that through your grace we may proclaim your truth with boldness, and minister your justice with compassion; for the sake of our Savior Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
+ Psalm 116
Glory be to God the Father and to Christ the Son, glory to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, Amen.
I love GOD, because GOD has heard the voice of my supplication,
because they have inclined their ear to me whenever I called upon them.
I love GOD, because GOD has heard the voice of my supplication,
because they have inclined their ear to me whenever I called upon them.
How shall I repay GOD
for all the good things GOD has done for me?
for all the good things GOD has done for me?
I will lift up the cup of salvation
and call upon the Name of GOD.
Glory be to God the Father and to Christ the Son, glory to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, Amen.
I will fulfill my vows to GOD
in the presence of all God’s people
and call upon the Name of GOD.
Glory be to God the Father and to Christ the Son, glory to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, Amen.
I will fulfill my vows to GOD
in the presence of all God’s people
Precious in the sight of God
is the death of God’s servants
I will offer you the sacrifice of thanksgiving
and call upon the Name of God
Glory be to God the Father and to Christ the Son, glory to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, Amen.

+ Genesis 18:1-15 NRSV
1 The Lord appeared to Abraham[a] by the oaks[b] of Mamre, as he sat at the entrance of his tent in the heat of the day. 2 He looked up and saw three men standing near him. When he saw them, he ran from the tent entrance to meet them and bowed down to the ground. 3 He said, “My lord, if I find favor with you, do not pass by your servant. 4 Let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree. 5 Let me bring a little bread, that you may refresh yourselves, and after that you may pass on—since you have come to your servant.” So they said, “Do as you have said.” 6 And Abraham hastened into the tent to Sarah and said, “Make ready quickly three measures[c] of choice flour, knead it, and make cakes.” 7 Abraham ran to the herd and took a calf, tender and good, and gave it to the servant, who hastened to prepare it. 8 Then he took curds and milk and the calf that he had prepared and set it before them, and he stood by them under the tree while they ate.
9 They said to him, “Where is your wife Sarah?” And he said, “There, in the tent.” 10 Then one said, “I will surely return to you in due season, and your wife Sarah shall have a son.” And Sarah was listening at the tent entrance behind him. 11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old, advanced in age; it had ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. 12 So Sarah laughed to herself, saying, “After I have grown old, and my husband is old, shall I be fruitful?” 13 The Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Shall I indeed bear a child, now that I am old?’ 14 Is anything too wonderful for the Lord? At the set time I will return to you, in due season, and Sarah shall have a son.” 15 But Sarah denied, saying, “I did not laugh,” for she was afraid. He said, “Yes, you did laugh.”
This is the Word of God for us the People of God.
Thanks be to God.

Prayers of the People
Is there a joy we might celebrate, a grief to be mourned, or a situation you need clarity on? It would be an honor to join you in prayer.
Offering
Let us with gladness present the offerings of our life and labor to the Lord.
Nothing I Hold Onto
I lean not on my own understanding
My life is in the hands of the maker of heaven
I lean not on my own understanding
My life is in the hands of the maker of heaven
I give it all to You, God
Trusting that You'll make something beautiful out of me
I give it all to You, God
Trusting that You'll make something beautiful out of me
I will climb this mountain with my hands wide open
I will climb this mountain with my hands wide open
There's nothing I hold onto, there's nothing I hold onto
There's nothing I hold onto, there's nothing I hold onto
My life is in the hands of the maker of heaven
I lean not on my own understanding
My life is in the hands of the maker of heaven

Apostles Creed
I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
he descended into hell;
on the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty;
from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

+ The Great Thanksgiving
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them up to the Lord.
We lift them up to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give our thanks and praise.
It is right to give our thanks and praise.
…and so with your people on earth and all the company of heaven, we praise your name and join their unending hymn:
Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!
…as we proclaim the mystery of faith:
Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again.
Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again.
…all honor and glory is yours, almighty Father; now and for ever.
Amen.
Amen.
+ The Lord's Prayer
And now, with the confidence of children of God, let us pray:
Our Father, who art in Heaven hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever, Amen.

+ You Keep On Getting Better
I will sing of your goodness
I will sing of your love
Though the seasons come quickly
You have always been enough
Though the night may get darker
Though the waiting seems long
You have always been faithful
To remind me of your love
You are good, in the morning I’ll sing
You are good, in the evening I’ll sing
You are good, you are good to me
You have always been patient
You have always been kind
You’re consistent through the ages
Oh what a friend of mine.
So I’ll remind my soul to bless you
Standing firm upon your truth
Knowing you cannot be shaken
‘Cause I’ve seen what you can do
You keep on getting better,
keep on getting better
You keep on getting better,
keep on getting better
I will sing of your love
Though the seasons come quickly
You have always been enough
Though the night may get darker
Though the waiting seems long
You have always been faithful
To remind me of your love
You are good, in the morning I’ll sing
You are good, in the evening I’ll sing
You are good, you are good to me

You keep on getting better,
keep on getting better
You keep on getting better,
keep on getting better
